Job Profile
·         -Should have at least 4 years of experience in machine building / engineering company, (preferably in design and service department). ·         -Should be able to communicate effectively – handle customer complaints & coordinate service requirements. ·         -Should be proficient in design software’s – fixture design, manufacturing efficiency improvement projects, etc… Expected knowledge: ·         Should be able work on 2D-3D design software. Should have knowledge about various ·         general mechanisms used in machines. Should have good analytical skills.Should be able to read catalogues, understand specification of bought out components and select bought out components based on  requirement of application e.g. electric motors. Should have knowledge of general purpose engineering materials e.g. various types of steels. Should have knowledge about manufacturing tolerances. Should be able to perform general machine design / mechanical engineering calculations independently. Should be good in communication. Knowledge about cam mechanisms will be preferred. Some experience in communicating with customers will be preferred. Some exposure to trouble shooting will be added advantage - Should be able to identify / understand / analyze customer problems and provide solution. Preparation of assembly and part manufacturing drawings / models using AutoCAD and 3D modeling software. (PROe) Coordination between other departments like sales and manufacturing. Model selection - This involves understanding customer requirements, getting required data from customer (through sales), performing engineering calculations and selecting of suitable model. Communicating with customers to resolve complaints, providing solutions. Position Specification: Diploma in Mechanical Engg. Application Engineer will be working with design and sales department, will be reporting to design head. Will be working on routine design work and will also be responsible for model selection based on customer requirements, handling customer complaints, technical communication with customers.
