JOB PROFILE
Note:- Reports to:- Design Head 1)    Should have at least 4 years of experience in machine building / engineering company. 2)    Should be able to communicate effectively – handle customer complaints & coordinate service requirements. 3)    Should be proficient in design software’s – fixture design, manufacturing efficiency improvement projects, etc… v Expected knowledge:- 1)    Should be able work on 2D-3D design software. Should have knowledge about various general mechanisms used in machines. Should have good analytical skills. 2)    Should be able to read catalogues, understand specification of bought out components and select bought out components based on  requirement of application e.g. electric motors. 3)    Should have knowledge of general purpose engineering materials e.g. various types of steels. 4)    Should have knowledge about manufacturing tolerances. 5)    Should be able to perform general machine design / mechanical engineering calculations independently. 6)    Should be good in communication. 7)    Knowledge about cam mechanisms will be preferred. 8)    Some experience in communicating with customers will be preferred. 9)    Some exposure to trouble shooting will be added advantage - Should be able to identify / understand / analyze customer problems and provide solution. 10)           Application Engineer will be working with design and sales department, will be reporting to design head. 11)           Will be working on routine design work and will also be responsible for model selection based on customer requirements, handling customer complaints, technical communication with customers. v Key Points:- 1)    Must be good at machine calculations 2)    Someone from SPM (Special Purpose Machine) background will be suitable 3)    Able to understand geometric drawings 4)    Should have process knowledge ABOUT THE COMPANY        XYZ is a pioneer and leader in the manufacture of Aluminum Collapsible Tubes.         Headquartered in Mumbai, the group operates nationally to meet the packaging needs of several important industries such as pharmaceuticals, food products, inks & paints, agrochemicals, cosmetics (including hair colour) toothpaste, adhesives, rubber solutions and many more…         With a small beginning more than 60 years back, it has grown multi-fold with the present production capacity of 300 million tubes per annum.
